For all those interested in knowing more about independent living and how this can work successfully and anyone going through Transition to Adult Services.
Jacky Martel is a parent carer from Gloucester. She will be speaking about her experiences of setting up a “forever home” for her son using a Direct Payment.
In the afternoon we will be hearing how Access Social Care helps with legal challenges in making sure that Local Authorities ensure Direct Payments are sufficient to meet need.
